GOOD SAVE BY BRIGADE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
GISBORNE, this day.
A fire this morning in the Majestic Theatre building gutted Ferguson's conr, fectionery shop and extensively damaged the Grand Tearooms above. The theatre vestibule and Bickford's stationery shop suffered damage by water. The flames had a strong hold when discovered, but the brigade effected a good save so far as the main portion of the theatre was concerned. Mr. Ferguson's stock was insured for £1500 in the Yorkshire Insurance Office.
