M.P.'S OPINION SOUGHT

(Received J 0.30 .1.111.) LONDON, March 25. Seven members of the House of Commons, including Mr. L. C. Amery. former Conservative Dominion Secretary and Commander 0. Locker-Lampson, both of whom -are members for Birmingham, have been requested by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham to record their votes in favour of Empire or Home butter in the "buy-election" organised by the Empire Dairy Council with the aim of securing the opinions of housewives throughout the country.

FOR AUSTRALIAN BUTTER,

(Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 25. Sir Granville Eyrie, Australian High Commissioner, presided over a large gathering of butter trade representatives and business men at a display of Australian bucter competing for the Orient Company's prizes at the Lonsdale Company's warehouse near London Bridge. Mr. William Lunn, Under-Secretary, for the Dominions, congratulated Australia on the fine quality of her butter and on the strides she is making in the industry. He referred with satisfaction to the growth of the consumption of Australian butter in Northern England as the result of the Empire Marketing Board's campaign.
