FALL FROM CYCLE.
BOY FATALLY INJURED.
SKIDS ON STEEP GRADE,
NORTH AUCKLAND ACCIDENT,
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
WHANGAREI, this day.
An accident which occurred about 5.15 o'clock last evening resulted in the death, early this morning, of Graham Finch, aged 11 years, a son of Mr. and Mrs. It. S. Finch, Mill Road, Whanga-
The child had borrowed a cycle and was riding down Norfolk Street. At the corner of Norfolk Street and Dent Street, where there is a steep grade, the cycle apparently skidded in the loose metal chips, and the rider fell from the machine. He was attended by Dr. Costello, and later taken to the Whangarei District Hospital.
When admitted, about 6 p.m., he was quite conscious, and his general condition was then good. It remained so until early this morning, when a sudden collapse took place, and the boy died at 4.30 o'clock.
