ITN3>ERGROITNT> SERVICES.
MAINS BADLY SHATTERED,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
NAPIER, this day.

Barton, S.M., to the effect that while a total of 1,500,000 gallons of water was being pumped daily through the waterworks station, threequarters of that amount was lost owing to broken pipes. Not only conduits and leads into houses, but even reticulation mains had been badly shattered.
