Mr. XV. Wallace, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, leaves for Wellington to-night to attend a meeting of the Nurses and Midwives Registration Board. Mr. W. J. Holdsworth leaves for Wellington to-night to attend a meeting of the Local Government Loans Board. Mr. R. H. McKenzie, director of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., is staying at the Commercial Hotel. Sir George and Lady Elliot will leave for Wellington this evening to join the Rangitata for England. Mr. G. Finn and Mr. 0. Mcßrine, members of the Unemployment Board, left for Wellington last evening. Mr. W. D. Holgate, president of the New Zealand Federation of Coalfriinc Owners, left last evening for Wellington. Mr. T. Uyeyama, a Japanese wool buyer, arrived from Christchurch this morning and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. 0. S. Watkins, of Wellington, president of the New Zealand Racing Conference, left by the Aorangi last evening on a visit to Sydney. Mr. R. W. Noake, postmaster at Te Aroha. has been transferred to Clutha. He will take up. his new duties early next month. Mr. E. Stanley, a merchant of Los Angeles, California, arrived at Wellington by the Monowai yesterday after a trip to India and Japan. He will leave Auckland for America early next month. Mr. G. Clare, overseer of the. telephone construction branch, Timarii, who /has been in charge of, the section between Rangitata and Glenavy since 1904, will retire on superannuation at the end of this month.
