OBITUARY.

MRS. HENRY MANSELL,

Mrs. Henry Mansell, a victim of the awful flood "and hurricane in Ba, Fiji, was born 56 years ago at Thorne, near Doncaster, Yorkshire, and was the youngest member of the family of the late James Mason and Amelia Eayner. Her family who are left behind consist of her husband, in Ba, Fiji, two sons in Suva, one in Lautoka, and a young married daughter (Mrs. Frank Hutchings) in Penang. In New Zealand are two sisters, Mrs. James Hulse and Mrs. Arthur Morrish, and an only brother, Mr. Harry Eayner.

MRS. MARGARET GRUBB,

A former well-known resident of Karangahape Road, Mrs. Margaret Grubb, died at Avondale, aged 89 years. She arrived in Auckland with her husband, Mr. David Grubb, by the ship Albert William, in 1804, the voyage out lasting 117 days. Mr. Grubb started the Crown Bakery in Karangahape Road, which ultimately developed into a big business. He died 29 years ago. There are the following children:—Messrs D. Grubb, Te Kuiti; W. C. and A. Grubb, Auckland; Mrs. R. S. Kirkpatrick, Matamata; Mrs. Andrews, Sydney; and Mrs. .J. McConn, Titirangi. There are also 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grand-children.

The death has occurred of Mr. F. Z. Moore, barrister, aged 58. He was head of the legal firm of Messrs. Moore, Moore, and Nichol.

Mr. Frederick Zwiiigle Moore was born in 1873, and educated at the Otago Boys' High School. He studied for the legal profession in the office of Messrs. Downie Stewart and Payne for six years. While with that firm he passed, as a solicitor, and was admitted, in 1895. Shortly afterwards he started to practise on his own account, and was admitted as a barrister in 1900.
