WORLD DISARMAMENT.
CONFERENCE VENUE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 22. Spain wishes the 1902 World Disarmament Conference to be held in the Barcelona Exhibition Buildings instead of at Geneva. The Government is sounding various countries for their opinions on the proposal. There will be no decision until the next meeting of the League Council. It may be found difficult to provide accommodation at Geneva as the conference is expected to be bigger than the Peace Conference. Over 50 nations will attend with many military, naval and air experts and diplomats.
