THE BOARD'S REPORT.

The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office, dated March 20, 1931:— .

Butter.—New Zealand: Salted, 116/ to 118/ per cwt; unsalted, 124/ to 128/; first whey, 112/; second whey, 110/. Deliveries New Zealand this week, 1850 tons; m store, 4900 tons. Australian: Salted, 115/ to 118/; unsalted, 118/ to 122/. Deliveries Australian this week' 1787 tons, in store 875 tons. Argentine: Unsalted, 118/ to 120/; exceptional, 122/. Danish: 125/, f.0.b., 134/ to 130/ spot. Dutch: Unsalted, 134/ to 136/. Market slow. Retail prices unchanged. Danish 1/5, New Zealand 1/3. Cheese.—New Zealand: White, 55/ to 56/, up to 57/; coloured, 57/ to 58/, up to 59/. Deliveries New Zealand this week 22,500 crates; in • store, 130,624 crates. Canadian: White, 74/ to 76/; exceptional, 78/; coloured, 74/ to 78/. Deliveries Canadian, 3200 boxes; in store, 119,534 boxes. English: Finest farmers', 100/ to 106/. Market slow. Retail prices unchanged, 9d. The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada: — Butter: New York, 2D cents (1/2%); Montreal, 31 cents (1/3%). Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co. have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. Nathan and Trengrouse, dated London, March 21:— Butter.—Weak. 116/ per cwt. Cheese.—New Zealand: White and coloured, 55/ to 57/ per cwt. COTTON, RUBBER, JUTE, ETC. LONDON, March 21. (Last week's prices in parentheses.) Cotton.—April delivery, 5.82 d (5.83 d) per lb. Rubber.—Para, 4%d (4%d) per lb; plantation and smoked, 3 13-16 d (4d). Jute.—March-April shipments, £15 2/6 (£ls 2/6) per ton. Copra.—March-April shipments, South Sea,' £14 17/6 (£l4 17/6); Rabaul, £15 (£ls 2/6) per ton. Linseed Oil.—£l9 15/ (£2O) per ton. Turpentine.—43/3 (40/9) per cwt.
