(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WAIPUKURAU, this day.
Arthur McDonald Snelling, aged 24, a stock agent, was killed instantly on Saturday evening. Winlove, who was driving, applied the brakes, whereupon the tyre rim of the front right wheel came off. The car, swerving towards the bank, struck a deep washout, and turned over. Winlove was thrown clear, but Snelling was pinned by the hood of the car and his neck • was dislocated. Deceased was a son of Mr. Thomas Snelling, of Makotuku. He was one of the most popular young men in Waipukurau and district. He was a Rugby footballer and an all-round athlete.
