Companionate Union Denounced By Bishop of London. TEACHING FROM AMERICA. LONDON, February 23. The Bishop of London, Dr. A. F. Winnington Ingram, in the course of a sermon in the Chapel Royal, St. James', uttered an outspoken condemnation of companionate marriages and "weekending 1 ' by young uniharried couples. I find that many people make a great deal of the Lord's kindness to the woman who was taken in adultery. Of course Ho was kind, but we must not forget the rest of the Christian religion. "The body is a beautiful servant but a terrible master. Christians must watch every cinema and play to. see that they do not bring temptations to the minds of the young."
