MAYOR'S LIST, £14,711. AUCKLAND SAVINGS BANK CUT. Up till noon to-day, £14,711 15/ had been received for the Mayor's fund at the Town Hall, Auckland. The "Auckland Star" list amounted to £2055 2/11. At a meeting of the Auckland Savings Bank trustees this morning it wns decided to donate £1000 (subject to

Perry at Taradnlc in the absence of the owner. The fire threatened to ruin the hotel and post office. Excellent work by a bucket brigade, however, saved the situation.
