LIFE SAVING.

COMPETITION AT MILFORD.

The annual competition between the "Milford and Takapuna surf land life-saving teams will be held on the Milford Beach Sunday afternoon, commencing a.t 1.30. •The Takapuna Surf Club has entered A and B teams. The Milford team won the Williamson Shield and Howes Cup last sear. A march past will be held by the ■three teams for the Howes Cup. The trophies will be presented at the conclusion of the events by the Mayor of Takapuna Mr. J. W. Williamson. Mr. A. {Dicker, chairman of the Royal Life-Saving ■Society, will judge the competitions. A collection will-be made in aid of the earthquake relief fund.
