The inclusion of the veteran. Hall, was received with some surprise. The selectors have obviously decided that it is more important to win the present series of Tests than to gamble with young players .who are candidates for the Australian tour, consequently they have chosen what tliey consider the best available 11, irrespective of age and prospects.
