The Auckland challenger, Avalon, liad arrived rafelyy. a'nd was now being polished. The Wellington challenger, Betty, had also arrived, and' "was housed at the boat harbou*. The Canterbury challenger, Colleen,- was expected to arrive on Friday. .: The Southland crew was due to reach Dtmedin on Friday , evening, and the Northern 'crews ..and delegates on Saturday afternoon'. Complete arrangements have hee'n made for entertaining'the visiting crews, who, together with the delegates, will he accorded a civic, reception at the . Town Hall on Monday evening. The first race will he held on Tuesday and Drotoises to be very keen.
