Three Killed in Wreck of
Giant Bomber.
FALL INTO SHED

LONDON, January 19.
A giant Vickcrs- Virginia .bombing 'plane crashed on to a shed at the Worthy Down aerodrome, Winchester. Of the, occupants, Flying Officer John Barker, or Clieltcnnam, was killed instantly, and Flying Officer Walter Monroe, of Birmingham and, Mr. J. H. Milner, of Winchester, wireless operator, died in hospital. Flying Officer J. E. Whitely was slightly injured.
Of those working in the shed, Aircraftsman Thomas was sent to hospital and five others were slightly injured. The impact broke the back of the machine.

After a forced landing in Poland yesterday, Miss Amy Johnson arrived here and is leaving for London to-morrow.
ITALY PREPARING.

ROME, January 19,
Although Italy is most disappointed at Britain's official defection from the Schneider Cup race, she is anxious for a duel with France for the trophy. Three types of new racing seaplanes are being constructed, and their possible crews have already been selected. Tests have been begun at the speed training centre on Lake Garcia.
