WAITEMATA BOARD MEETS. PROGRESS OF WORKS. The Waitemata Electric Power Board met tliiri morning, Mr. G. Trevithick presiding. The secretary, Mr. A. Main, reported that the gross sales of current for December totalled £9105, as compared with £70.">7 for the corresponding month the previous year, an increase of £1147. The total sales for the past nine months ended December 31 were £62,41)6 as against £50,303, an increase of £6132. Discounts allowed to consumers for the past nine months totalled £7007. Progress of works was reported upon by the engineer, Mr. F. J. H. Wilson. He said that services had been run in the FToJc-nsville, Nihotupu and Henderson districts, while summer teets of transformer earth resistances had been made on North Shore. Forty-four services had been run and. low teneion lines extended at Castor Bay and Murray's Bay, and in Takapuna additional street lights had been installed. During the past quarter nearly half a million additional units of power had been purchased from the Government, and had produced £2000 additional revenue for an extra power cost of £28. There were now 70(10 consumers connected to the board's supply, 61 new connections having been made in December.
