HAWERA, this day

Bright Glow left yesterday for NewPlymouth in charge of R. Cotter; where she is to do a course of swimming in the sea in the hope of relieving her of her soreness.

The weather, was good, but the recent rains have' left the track heavy, and all fast work this morning was done on the outside of the course proper. J'aparua was too good for Biflex over four furlongs in 53'/is.

Compulsory and Ripple Song went half a mile, being assisted over the first two by Glad Star. They took 54s for the full distance,

Banbridge went a round at threequarter pace, as did also Gowanlea and Miss Sheff.

Anbridge went four furlongs in fioVas. Bonogne, by himself, ran five furlongs in 1.8,

Paitonu went pix . furlongs, being assisted over the tii's t three by" Ol'a«one, while Kiasleps brought him home in 1,23'<6.

Gasnapper finished in front of Joyspear over soven furlongs in 1,39. Summer Time and Barbara Kent took 54s for half a mile. ,■ , Lsa and Double Red went five furlongs in 1.8.

Peter Jackson ami Green Linnet went four furlongs in 53Vas.
