RETURNS FOR PAST YEAR,

(From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The past year in the Waikato was the driest since 1919. The total rainfall, for the year was 38.79 inches, compared with 45.96 inches in 1929 and 36.57 inches in'l9l9. The average rainfall for the past 25 years has been 50 inches. During December 1.42 inches fell.
