Lady Rutherford has been the recipient of a host of congratulatory telegrams, the first of which was from • the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, who is a very old friend of Lord Rutherford. "Honour, means nothing to my husband, and his work everything," said Lady Rutherford. "I am all the more glad at the honour bestowed on him, because I find that his own ' people - appreciate this quality in him." Lady Rutherford will remain in Christ-church until the end of February.
