SUMMER MEETING. Card for Monday.—The Fields Reviewed. The summer meeting or the Auckland Racing Club \vill be continued at Ellerslie on Monday and with the good fields carded for the various events there should be another interesting day's racing. Fergusson ITandicap. Seventeen have been paid up for in the Ferguseon Handicap. Catoma failed in the Queen's Plate on Friday, hut Paratoo was third in that event and should be improved Tobacco Land had won three six-furlong races on end prior to contesting the second division of the Robinson Handicap at Ellerslie yesterday. He finished out of a place on that occasion, but met with interference. Karangapai showed up for a good way in the Queen's Plate after winning over seven furlongs at Takapuna and running third in the Takapuna Plate. He should be improved. Chief Joy scored over seven furlongs at the same meeting and has been working well since then. Of the others Stonehenge, Indolent and Gold Day appeal most. • The chief selections may be PARATOO, CHIEF JOY, KARANGAPAI; »The King's Plate. The King's Plate is a weight-for-age event run over a mile. Nightinarch, despite his failure in the Auckland Cup, will have a lot of friends, and he will be suited by the smaller .field. Toxeuma lias proved'himself a good horse up to a mile. Hunting Gry won -the Railway Handicap last year, and then accounted for the King's Plate. He scored in the Railway Handicap yesterday, which made his third successive, victory during the last few months, and he should prove very hard to beat again to-morrow. .Cylinder beat Nightmarch in the Stead Cup, one mile and a quarter at Riccarton, while Karapoti, Sargon and Lady Pam have all shown recent winning form. It should be a fine betting race, and the three who will probably carry the most money are NIGHTMARCH HUNTING CRY CYLINDER. Ponsonby Hurdles. Glenstar won the Grafton Hurdles so well that he should again command respect in the Ponsonby Hurdles. Claremore, who ran third in that event, should be improved, as should also Mangani. Star Comet has disappointed recently, while of the others Respirator, Who finished second yesterday, appears the best. The public inay give most support to GLENSTAR CLAREMORE. MANGANI. The Summer Cup. Pegaway, who is at. the head of those engaged in the Summer Cup, has been in the money on each occasion this season, and his good third in the Railway Handicap yesterday will ensure nim plenty of support. First Sight is a useful sort, and ran a fair race in the Christmas Handicap. Vertigern should be improved after his race in the same event yesterday. Mafcri Boy has not raced since the Whangarei meeting early last month. My Own won the Metropolitan Handicap, one mile and a half, at. Riccarton, which was. a good performance. Royal Doulton annexed this race last season, and won the St. Andrew's Handicap, nine furlongs, at Takapuna, in her last start. Gustavo showed up for a while in the Christmas Handicap yesterday, while Standfast led the field for a long way in the Auckland Cup. Jaloux and Mosque look the best of those lower down. Most money may go on PEGAWAY STANDFAST ROYAL DOULTON. The Criterion Handicap. Chief Cook, Movie Star and Tea Chat are all on the 9.0 mark in the Criterion Handicap. Chief Cook was fourth in the Great Northern Foal Stakes yesterday,! a race in which Tea Chat led into the straight, with Movie Star handy. The latter two should go well with a furlong less to cover.' Barascope' was second to Hunt the Slipper, in the Nursery Handicap yesterday, while Solvent was fourth. The latter should do better. Persham and High Comedy may command most respect of the remainder. Most money may go on TEA CHAT MOVIE ST3R SOLVENT. The Waitemata Handicap. The Waitemata Handicap, one mile and a quarter, is a race for hacks that have not won over more than seven furlongs. Appledore annexed a sixfurlong event at Woodville, and finished fourth in the Queen's Plate. Arrowzone lias shown fairly good form up to seven furlongs recently, and was second in a division of the Robinson Handicap yesterday. Pakitere has a win and a second to her credit over seven furlongs this season, but was well back in the Queen's Plate yesterday. Rosshire finished fifth in the last-named event, while Clopton was third and second respectively in nine-furlong events at Takapuna recently. The public may go for • • •■•■ CLOPTON APPLEDORE • ■ ' ARROWZONE. JThe Electric Handicap. Paganelli and Gold Money are at the top of the Electric Handicap, the chief sprint event of the day. Paganelli has failed to win this season and finished well back in the Railway Handicap. Gold Money was injured at the Waikato meeting and has not raced since. Chromadyne did not get into the money in tha Railway Handicap yesterday, which was his first defeat for some time. He cannot be discarded. Leitrim won ■at Takapuna, while Autopay annexed the Stewards' Handicap at Riccarton and was one the leaders into the straight in the Railway Handicap at Ellerslie yesterday. Awaken is a useful sprinter and beat Autopay and others at the last Wellington meeting. Great Star was second in the Railway Handicap yesterday and should again run -well. Prince Val scored at the Waikato meeting, beating Pegaway. Love Song won the Wainui Handicap, one mile, at Wellington, and showed a lot of speed yesterday in the Christmas Handicap after getting away badly. Tenterden and Courtesy may have most friends of the others engaged. The chief selections may be GREAT STAR CHROMADYNE LEITRIM.

Plunket Handicap. The day's sport will conclude with the Plunket Handicap, and on recent form the best backed may be GOSHAWK" SILVERMINE TI TREE.
