WRESTLING.

WALKER AND LURICH. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH. Keen interest is being displayed in the special challenge wrestling match between' George Walker, British Empire champion, and Tom Lurich, champion of Russia, whfth will be staged by the N.Z. Wrestling Association in the Town Hall on Monday evening aiext. Lurich, who hinted before articles were signed that Walker was not anxious to meet him, has £25 for a side bet if the Canadian wishes to take it up. Although beaten in his other meetings with Walker, Lurich is a very capable wrestler and in the opinion of many followers of the game the Russian is almost as good as the Canadian. Certainly Walker has never had an easy thing in beating Lurich. The Russian, wlio°gave his best display when he held George Kotsonaros to a draw, is in better condition than lie has been in any previous match at Auckland, while Walker is always lit. Booking opened this morning.
