Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Boucher sailed by -the Niagara for Sydney. The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral, left for Wellington last evening. He expects to return at the end of the week. Mr. F. W. CaveMβ leaving to-day by the Niagara on a six months' business tour of England, Canada and the United States. The Kt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader, of the Opposition, arrived in Auckland from New Plymouth yesterday, and left for Dargaviile this morning. . Mr. Gilbert King, of the Auckland office of the South British Insurance Company, Limited, has been transferred to the company's branch in Calcutta. Mr. A. E. Patterson, assistant manager of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Export , Company, Ohio, left by the Niagara fpr\ Sydney last evening. He was accompanied by Mr. W. KUrquha'rt, director and general superintendent of products a at the company's factory, Granville, New South Wales. Professor H. W. Segar, chairman of the Academic Board of the New Zealand University, Professor F. P. Worley, chairman of the Auckland Professorial Board, Professor H. H. Corbin, and Professor W. Anderson, left for Wellington last evening to attend a meeting of the Academic Board in Wellington to-day.
