(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGaViLLE, Tuesday.. The. Minister of Public Works, the Hon. W. JB. Taverner, has advised the Dargaville 'Chamber of Commerce that representations in regard to the Auckland main highway would receive his consideration. At a meeting of the chamber to-day Mr. Beattie said he had heard it stated at Matakohe that it was not proposed to complete the ruad for three years. Mr. Tonkin: It seems strange that they can get so mucn spent In South Auckland. Mr. JBagnall: If the amount spent on the Russell Road were available there would, bo no gap between here and Auckland. Mr. Harding proposed that the chamber should get into touch with the Whangarei chamber with a view to a co-ordination of effort. The motion was - seconded by Mr. Tonkin and carried. ,
