BIBLE CLASS RALLY.
GATHERING AT PATUMAHOE. The annual rally ot the South Auckland Presbyterian Bible Gla&s District, held at Patumahoe yesterday, was attended by 130 members, reprevsenting districts between Papatoetoe and Mercer, and extending from Clevedon on ttaeast to Waiuku on the west. The liev. T. H. Roseveare. president of the district, presided During the morning session studies of the lives of the Apostles were led by Messrs. Shilton ;(Mauku), Gill (Pukekohe). J- Cumming (Tuakau), and the Rev D. Maclntyre (Howick). Mr. Kosej vcare spoke on the "CalL of the Apostles. \s the day was too stormy tor outdoor sports the programme arranged in connection with the rally was cancelled and the shield for competition was retained dj Howick. the holders. Seven or eight classes each formed a cnoir, appointed their own conductor?, and gave an impromptu pmormance. Wei knoun community songs were chosen, and the competition was judged by the president wio afterwards reviewed the performances m P semi-humorous vein. Mr. Shilton presided over the afternoon session whig vote of thanks to the Mauku clas= tor entertaining the visitors.
