EXHILARATING CONTEST. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, September 29. At the Albert Hall the ex-amateur heavy-weight Desmond Jeanes, formerly a member of Dion Boueicault's company in Australia, knocked out the Frenchman, Josef Thomas, in the third of a sixround contest. It was an exhilarating coyest, the Frenchman being clown for eight in the second round.
