HAMILTON RESIDENT CHARGED.
A resident of Hamilton appeared before Messrs. C. R. PeJtrie and T. P. Whiteley, J.P/s, at. the Otahuhu Court this moping on,, a charge of. bemg in a state 6f intoxication when in charge ot a motor car. Mr. Biyce Hart appeared for defendant, who pleaded not guilty. He had been arrested at. Manurewa by W. H. Barrett,, county inspector. . '~■ The police applied, for aα-emand, but this was opposed by Mi , . Hart 1 ; as his witnesses were in Cour.t'. Defendant was remanded until September 22, bail being renewed. ■ A request for suppression of accused's name • was ■ grafted.'
