WANGANUI DAIRY SHIPMENTS,

WANGANUI, Monday,
;„4;The Warigamii Harbour Board to-day 'pqssed a resolution that the City Council, 'the two local county councils, the Chamber of Commerce and the Development League be requested to make strong representations to the Government concerning ithe alleged unfair treatment of the port of Wanganui by the Dairy Board. It was stated that the Dairy Board was preventing various'companies from Sending their produce to Wanganui, but that these companies could, if allowed, send their produce through Wanganui at less cost. Two members of the Harbour Board defended the Dairy Board, contending that by obtaining a reduction in 'freight it was doing its duty for the whole of the producers of the Dominion. Another member concurred, but asked why Wanganui had been-singled out for special treatment. J
