The increases proposed were: — Workers' weekly tickets, 6/3 to 6/0.
Concession cards, increased by 6d each.
Objections were made by the Taniaki Ratepayers and Residents' Association.

"We are satisfied about the correctness of the figures," said the chairman, Mr. J. A. C. Allum. "It is a reasonable application. We are in a position to judse."
Mr. E. J. Phelau urged that the appli cation should be deferred.
Mr. G. Baildon objected to this course and described the application as a "clear case."
The application was granted on the motion of the chairman.
