A FIASCO.
JOURNEY TEN MILES HIGH. (Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, September 14. ' Tlie attempt of Professor Pieard from eight to ten miles in an aluminium (Switzerland) to reach an altitude of ball, to test the upper air, proved a fiasco. Gas was insufficient to lift the globe. He will make a further attempt later.
