REFORMER REVOLTS.
SALARY INCREASE RESENTED.
(Received 11.30 a.m.)
SYDNEY, this day.
Alderman McElhone has resigned the chairmanship of the Citizens' Eeforin party in the City Council. His action is the outcome of the party's recommendation that the salary of Mr. Forbes ilackay, manager of the electricity department, he raised from £2000 to £3000 while workers' wages were cut. 1 "If necessary," he said, "I will resign and recontest the seat in the Fitzroy ward."
