PONSONBY BOWLING CLUB.

A very enjoyable function, was held in tlie pavilion of the Ponsonbv Bowling Club last Thursday night, when" the president, Mr. L. S. Kelly, entertained the members and a number of visitors .at a social. Among the visitors present were: Mr. J. Thompson, : president of the Auckland Centre; Mr. B. Wliitton, vicepresid'ent; and Messrs. Wright and C. Keid, members-of the centre. Musical items were rendered by an'orchestra of nine. Messrs. Gorman Day, R. Wilson, F. Carbines, Dan Mood and George Swan also rendered items. Mr. Sparling was the accompanist. The past season's prizes were presented by Mr. J. Thompson to the following: Singles championship, Sir. E. Jury, runner-up Sir. A. J. Letham; pairs championship, Messrs. A. C'rowe and H. S. Hill; percentage fours, Messrs. Car law, Stevenson, Calder and Somervell; club pairs,.Messrs. F...Letham and F. Oates; handicap singles, Mr. B. J. Carbines. - —,
