Maunganui.
LIFE SAVINGS STOLEN.
SYDNEY, August 22.
The body of Mr. H. Ballantyne, of the Hawke's Bay district, who reported that he had lost £800 while he was-a thirdclass passenger on the Maunganui from Wellington to Sydney this week, was found in the bathroom of a city residential flat, with his throat cut. The body was in a crouching position, leaning over a bath, and a razor lay close by.
