SCHOOLBOY VANISHES.
LEFT HOME LAST FRIDAY*
NO TRACE FOR A WEEK.
POLICE AND RADIO APPEAL.
Tie disappearance of a schoolboy named Albert Mortimer Scott, aged 13, from his parents' home at Point Chevalier, last Friday, has been reported to the police. During the week frequent appeals have been made through IYA radio broadcasting station in the hope that some trace might be obtained of the boy, but so far nothing has been heard of him. The boy -was last seen a week ago, ■on Friday, August 15. He attended the Mount Albert School and returned home at the usual hour that afternoon. He left his school books at home and went away without saying where he was going. The lad is 4ft 6in in height, of medium build with fresh complexion, large brown eyes and dark hair. He has a scar on the back of his head, and when he left home he was wearing short blue trousers, a grey jersey and brown overcoat, but no hat. Any information concerning the missing boy may be sent to the police.
