VALUABLE BLACK OPALS.

SYDNEY, this day,
Two miners at Grawin, near Walgett (476 miles north-north-west of Sydney) report a rich find of black opal in new country. The gems raised are worth about £000.
A rich gold reef has been discovered near the old reef at Pratton, Queensland. Prospectors say the reef contains free gold estimated at 50 ounces to the ton.
