WASHINGTON, August 17

The Department of Commerce announced that the foreign trade of the United States dropped in July to the lowest figure for five years, the exports totalling £53,800,000,' and the imports £43,800,000. This is a decrease from the figures of the previous July of £26,600,000 for exports and £2(i.SOO,000 for imports.
