WHANGAREI MINIATURE CLUB.
A contest for the Plumbers C-old Cup between teams representing the Borough Electrical Department and the "Northern Advocate" was fired on the Whangarei Miniature Rifle Chub's range. The scores were as follows: — "Northern Advocate".—S. Withers. 83: .T. A. InKsfer. 82; E. Skinner. 81 : C. Twidle, 77;" M. Whitelnw, 77; T. McCorob, 70; D. T. .Tones. 63; A. Cook, 50; W. Cbissell, 38. Total. 621. Electrical Department.—A. Carmichael, 71: J. 11. Brown, 67; A. West. 03; M, Ward. 58 : .T. Redwood, 56: H. Flewellyn, 55: W. Chursbain. 48; W. H. Dawson, 44; G. Chissell. 36. Total, 498.
PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB
In the local Drill Hall on Wednesday evening the, Paeroa Miniature Rifle Club fired a handicap trophy match for a trophy donated by Mr. B. Powell. The top score off the rifle for the evening. was registered by D. Morris with 98, a very good shoot. Four members, L. Morris, A. A. Jenkinson, John Morrison and .1. Frost, all gained the limit with their "handicaps, and were thus required to shoot off to decide the winner. In the shoot off .T. Frost maintained his good form and again reached the 100. The other three failed to reach his total, and J. Frost was? declared the winner, with John Morrison close up second. The leading scores were:—L. Morris, OS —4 —100; A. A. Jenkinson. 97—3—100; John Morrison, 9." —7—100; J. Frost, 94—G—100; F."C. Hubbard, 96—3—99: F. Patterson, 9i —S—99; M. Charlesworth, 91—8—99; C. r. Millar, 91—7—98; W. Halligan, 92— 5—97.
