PALMER AND McLNNES.
MEETING NEXT WEEK.
The principals in the main attraction of the carnival to be staged by < the Northern- Boxing Association next Wednesday, Tommy Mclnnea, of Scotland; and Young ("Tiger") Palmer, of Victoria, both arrived in Auckland yesterday. Both report themselves to be in ' good condition and an excellent match is anticipated. McLones needs no introduction and if he yean reproduce the form he showed here a year and a - half ago his supporters will be well satisfied. Palmer has a record which shows only one defeat, while he has won more than half. Of his matches by the short route. Palmer may be seen in training any afternoon at the Fire Station gymnasium.
WEST COAST TEAM.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. The West Coast Boxing Association tonight decided to send the following representatives to the New Zealand amateur championships at Palmerston North:—43. Ellery, light-heavy; H. Lister, middleweight; C. Moore, welter, and 1 J. Atkinson, flyweight.
OTAGO TEAM INCREASED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. H. Davis, light heavy-weight, has been added to the Otago boxing team for the New Zealand championships. Archie Leckie will accompany the team as trainer.
