MR. JOHN COOK CLOUGH.

A resident of Auckland who arrived in 1804, Mr. John Cook dough, died on August 1, aged 02 years. He was bom in Bradford, Yorkshire, and came to New Zealand in the ship Eagle Speed, arriving October, 1864. He went back to England in 1871, and returned to New Zealand the next year. Mr Clough was an engineer, and had spent the greater part of his life in Auckland. He is survived by one Ron and two daughters. Mr. Clough was for very many years a member of the orchestra of the Auckland Choral Society, being the first player of (lie oboe in this city. Ho also belonged to the Auckland Orchestral Society, and, when wanted, played the viola. Many instrumentalists in Auckland received tuition from Mr. Clough'in bygone years.
