MRS. M. J. TRETHEWAY.
The death took place on August 1 at Hamilton of Mrs. M. J. Tretlieway at the age of 83 years. She was born at Lostwithiel, Cornwall, and cams to New Zealand with her husband in 18fr">. They were farming f6r a short while at Pakuranga, but when the Thames goldfield opened they went there and the husband was actively engaged in mining. Later they went farming in the Waikato, where' Mr. Trctheway died IS years ago. There are the following children: Mr. J. S. Tretheway, of Papatoetoe; Mr. T. Tretlieway and Mr. C, Trcthcwuy, of Auckland; Mrs. E. Peterson, of Te'Aroha; and Mrs. M. J. Dillicar, of Papatoetoc.
