Edward Jackson, an Ulstei;-born American engineer, who said that he spent considerable time at engineering and architecture in Australia, will at-' tempt to cross the Atlantic fro*n England to America in the boat ever built. It consists of a little opon 75-feet cylinder, with a deck attached. He describes it as "a floatiug barrel, with excrescences." i
