SHEARERS' NEW AWARD.

WAGE CUT OF 20 PER CENT. „ MELBOURNE, July 14. Mr. Justice Dethridge, in the Commonwealth Arbitration Court to-day, delivered a new award for shearers and shed hands. This reduced the men's wages all round about 20 per cent. The award will come into operation at midnight. The minimum rate for flock wethers, ewes and lambs under the award is 32/0 a 100, compared with the former rate of 41/. The minimum rate for rams above six months is fixed at Go/ a 100.
