PHILISTINES.
Ail excellent programme, coupled with an atmosphere of gaiety, made '.he revel held by the Philistines Club on Saturday evening a very happy one. Mr. D. W. Faigan was in the chair. The programme includckl two amusing sketches. "Aunt Maria's* Wireless" and "Returned Willi Thanks." c Those taking part in the former were Mrs. NelV> Porter, Mr. E. Churchousc, Mr. George Moody, Miss Burton, Mrs. Richmond and Miss Joyce Porter. The roles in the latter were Miss E. Stairs, Mr. G. College. Mr. Gordon and Mr. Moody. Other items were given by Miss' Flora Bobertson, Mr. Owen Pritchard 4 Mr. W. Sutherland. Mr. Mervyn 'Adaius and Mr.. Churchouse, accompaniments being played by Mrs. Bird .and Sir. Eric Waters. . The social committee later served supper, and dancing concluded the evening's entertainment. Among those, present were: — Mesclamcs B. Bird, A. Herrit, Nello Porter, E. M. Newlihg, Da lien, J.
