A rainbow wedding was solemnised in St. Patrick's Cathedral, recently, when Mavis Doreen, youngest daughter of Mr. ( and Mrs. G. Ryan, of Mt. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. V Ryan, of Waihora, wore a dainty frock of blush pink panne velvet with a tMit-fitting bodice and pointed hipyoke"' the skirt falling ankle-length at the back, showing a tiny frill of silver lace. Her veil was of blush pink tulle, edged with silver lace; a silver lovers knot, in one cornen, formed the train. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of pink and white carnations, chrysanthemums and roses. Miss W. Ryan, sister of the bride, was chief bridesmaid, wearing a duchess blue satin and georgette ankle-length frock, and contrastin" felt hat, finished across the back with a velvet bow. She carried a shower bouquet to tone. The three flower girls were Misses Jean Ryan, Waihora, in apple green; Joan Ryan, Te Aroha, in mauve; E. Smith, in .peach, each-made with tiny frills, and with a tulle -headdress to.match. Mr. Jim Lissette, of Napier, was best man. A reception was held in the Dominion HalL BAUCKE—WRIGHT. The marriage "took place at All Saints' Church, Matamata, on Monday morning of Isabel Charlotte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. A. Wright, of Te Poi, to Edward Reginald Baucke, -eldest son of Mrs. E. Baucke, of Taupiri. The Rev. C W Turner officiated at the ceremony. The church was decorated with autumn flowers for the occasion, and Mr. JJ. u. Southon, of Te Poi, a friend of the bride's parents, played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, was prettily attired in a simple long-sleeved frock ot ivory celanese taffeta with flared skirt and a daintily embroidered bodice. A veil of white embroidered tulle was caught at the head with orange blossom clusters. Hter shower bouquet was, of white chrysanthemums and pale pink roses. In attendance as matron of honour was Mrs. MacCartland, of Te Poi, who wore a picture frock of pastel pink spun crepe de chine, the skirt drooping to ankle-length at the sides and ' the bodice featuring a bolero flounce effect. A close-fitting hat to match, trimmed with small pink sprays, and a \ bouquet of pale pink carnations and ' roses completed a becoming toilette. ' Little Miss Galli Madsen made a dainty ' flower girl in a frilled frock of Bettyblue taffeta and carried a basket, of . flowers. Mr. R. Baucke, #the bridegroom's brother, was best man. After '. the ceremony a reception was held in i the Rialto, where Mrs. Wright, the ! bride's mother, received her guests in a gown of dove grey milanglon and i hat to tone; she carried a bouquet of violets.
