DANCING AND MORALS.
DANCE HALLS DEFENDED. (To the Editor.) Why all this fuss about our dance halls? Because of ..a very serious affair which took place after a dance the dance hall gets the blame. I quite agree with all your correspondent "Happy Days" says. If those folks who wish all these rules and regulations to be laid down would visit our dance halls thev \voukl find them not so black as painted A prefer my children to spend an evening aVa public dance than in a theatre or walking the streets. I have been dancing for Some years, myself and often accompany my children and have never found anything objection", able. In fact I have always found those" responsible for the running of the dances doirj" everything in their power to create a clean and respectable atmosphere in the dance hall If parents would only do their duty and enlighten their girls and boys in matters upon which they should have full knowledge w e would not have the sad and serious° cases occurring. Let us advocate more police protection in our streets, parks, etc. That is where we want it and not in our dance halls MOTHER OF FOUR. '
