FIRE IN NELSON STREET.
Two rooms on the upper floor of a two-storeyed hoiwe at 29, Nelson Street, City, were damaged by fire about 6 p.m.; last evening. One room and the stair-! way were badly gutted, but damage to the" other was only slight. The City Fire Brigade arrived in time to confine the flames to the upper portion of the house. The fire was first noted by passers-by when the tenants, Mr. and Mrs. C. Haleuby, were downstairs. A little furniture was saved. The block was insured for £000 in the Yorkshire Office, and " the portion damaged by lire was covered by £200 of this amount. The owner of the building was Miss C. Daviee.
