BUILDING TRAMS.
» BOARD'S POLICY ENDORSED. "That the Transport Board's policy should be to build all its own tramcars and buses" is a suggestion heartily endorsed by the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners, which has sent a letter to the board stating that the society holds the opinion that the building should "not be given to a private firm as we consider it against the interests of the municipality." The communication was received by the board and it was decided to inform the society that five more tramcars are being built in the board's workshops.
