FAIB RESULTS OBTAINED. GOOD BAG IX NORTH. Reports from various parts of tlie province show that in general fair results have been obtained since the shooting season opened. There was a general quest for duck on the opening day, a popular 'locale being the lakes in the Lower Waikato district, where in several instances limits were secured. The weather lia» befii bright and calm, and it was a general experience to find birds flying high. Shooting at Waiotira, Morth Auckland, on the opening day, Mr. H. R. Jenkirns, of Renmera, got four brace of pheasants, and three brace of pheasants and two brace of duck on the following day. This was the best bag secured in that district.
