The Amberley meeting will he held to-morrow, and in spite of the small fields in two events it should provide good racing. The Novice Handicap. A big field may be. expected in this event, and among those engaged are some spdedy gallopers. Solgele has won it three years in succession, and he will have to'be reckoned with again. Swiftray, . Sapient, Pixie Gold, and Weather Raid have been working well, while Ilkley, Gustavo find Winsome Hind are -useful two-year-olds., Solgele will find Ilkley and Winsome Hind hard to dispose of. Tie Glasncvin Handicap. . The Bailiff is capable of running a solid mile,' while Kentish' Lady baa been racing well lately. A pair who appeal, however, are the three-year- ' olds Eanelagh and Straightcourse. The Starkey Memorial. In this small field Arikiwai stands out on account of form, and he is likely to be a hot favourite. Kowai Trot. There ' are rouio promising novices among the dozon on the limit in the Kowai Trot.- Flying Prince is one who will be fancied, but. Colorado may be troublesome. . Brackenfield Handicap. • ' Amorist looks, well, w>ile Semper Paratus has been galloping freely in his work. Solmuri :is useful rtt sir. : furlongs, and Royal Mint, at his best, is a good performer. Royal Heritage is improving,, and Weather Raid is in capital order at present. Solmuri and Semper Paratus make most appeal. Amberley Handicap. Rascal has not had. a race for some time, but Buoyant can'be relied upon for a good effort, and Tripaway, in spite of poor track work, muStJiave a great chance judged on his form at Hororata. Ranelagh and The Viscount have earlier engagements. Tripaway may do best. .The.Seadown Handicap. • Toawai has been working well lately, as have the stable" mates Noteworthy and Pixie Gold.
