MURPHY—PRENDERGAST.
The Church of the Sacred Heart, with' its Easter decorations, made an ideal setting for a bridal group when Ana Inga ("Birdie.") fifth daughter of Mrs. E. and the late Mr, T. Preudergast, became the wife of Mr. Thos. Murphy, eldest son or" Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Murphy. County Cork. Ireland. Rev. Father O'Doherty performed the ceremony and celebrated Xuptiai Mass. assisted by Rev. Father Tulley. The service was fully choral, Miss Lorna Jem presided at the organ and appropriate solos and duets were beautifully rendered by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simm. The bride was given away by her brother. Mr. J. Prendergast, and looked charming in an ankle length gown of cream georgette over satin with a dainty cream lace veil and a shower bouquet. She was attended by Miss Mary Prendergast, a cousin from Te Awamutu, as chief bridesmaid, who wore reseda, green georgette, and Miss Q'Kane in gold georgette. Each wore a tulle headdress and carried bouquets to tone. Two dainty little flower girls, Kathleen Wilson (niece) and Molly McCarthy, followed the bride, wearing tulle and mauve georgette, tulle headdresses and carrying dainty Victorian posies. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. J. O'Kane as best man and Mr. L. Prendergast as groomsman. A reception was held :\t "Clonniore." the residence of the bride's mother, where HO guests were entertained. Mrs. Prendergast wore black crepe de chine and black hat. Rev. Father O'Doherty proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, Rev; Bro. Fergus. Mrs. Prendergast and family, and Mr. I). Flynn (an old friend of the family), who presided, proposed the health of the bridesrroom's. parents.
