CIRCUS TRAGEDY.
GERMAN PERFORMER KILLED
NEW YORK, March 31. Hans Jahn, aged 35, a German per-j former, was killed in a circus yesterday. He lost Ms balance and fell from the top of a 40ft pole held on the shoulder of his brother Karl. Seeing his brother commence to fall Karl leaped forward and threw himself to the ground to act as a cushion for Hans to fall upon. However, Hans' back "was broken and he died instantly. .
